Import the files
From Mac(OS) to note-taking app
When downloading files on a Mac, the files are typically saved to the "Downloads" folder by default.
Steps:
Locate the file on your Mac that you want to transfer to your iPad.
On your Mac, right-click the file and select "Share" or "Send To" from the options.
Choose the Airdrop option and select your iPad from the list of available devices.
On your iPad, you will receive a notification to accept the Airdrop transfer. Tap "Accept" to proceed.
Once the file is successfully transferred, locate the file on your iPad.
Tap and hold the file until a menu appears.
Select "Open with" and choose "GoodNotes" or your preferred note-taking app from the options.
GoodNotes or your selected app will open, and the file will be imported as a new document.
If prompted, select "Import as New Document" to create a new notebook or document with the imported file.
From PC(Windows) to note-taking app
When downloading files on a Windows, the files are typically saved to the "Downloads" folder by default.
Steps:
Locate the file on your computer.
Upload the file to a cloud service such as Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox.
On your iPad, open the appropriate cloud drive app.
Find the uploaded file and tap on the "Three-Dot" icon in the upper-right corner.
In the drop-down menu, select "Open In" or a similar option.
Choose "Open in GoodNotes" (may vary depending on the cloud drive app you are using).
You will be directed to the GoodNotes app.
In GoodNotes, tap on the blue "Import as New Document" button to create a new notebook from the imported file.
From iPad to note-taking app
When downloading files on an iPad, you will be directed to a browser window after clicking on the download link. The file will typically save to the default download location on your iPad, which is usually the "Downloads" folder or a similar folder in your file management app.
Steps:
Locate the file you want to import on your iPad.
Tap the "Share" icon, usually located in the upper right corner of the screen.
Scroll down the sharing menu until you find the option "Open in GoodNotes" and tap on it.
GoodNotes app will open, and you will be prompted to import the file.
Tap on the blue "Import as New Document" button to create a new notebook or planner as a new document in GoodNotes.
